an indie solo journey
Cranky Alien was started by the indie solo developer Giuseppe Licata in 2021 with the goal of developing and launching Swoon!
Giuseppe worked on Swoon for almost 18 months non-stop as a solo developer. Swoon was eventually published and funded by SoftSource Pte Ltd in associaton with CRX entertainment and more games are now in the making.
This allowed Giuseppe to work with his own team on more projects, open a lab where games can be developed and tested and start a wild adventure in the game development industry.
We open our first lab in Italy!
Cranky Alien Games signed the first publishing agreement with SoftSource and CRX, to publish and distribute Swoon! Earth Escape worldwide.
Nintendo welcomed Swoon! Earth Escape on the Nintendo Switch platform. Happy days.
We partner with XBOX in the ID@XBOX program!
